December in Travis Park!

SAN ANTONIO (Dec. 6, 2017) — Celebrate the holidays at Travis Park with free, family friendly events! Enjoy a spectacular holiday light display every evening through Jan. 7, 2018. The City and Centro San Antonio are proud to sponsor holiday programming in Travis Park thanks in part to GrayStreet Partners and the St. Anthony Hotel. 

The community is invited to attend events throughout the holidays at Travis Park, located at 301 E. Travis St.

Holiday Movies in the Park

Tuesday, Dec. 12 and 19 and Saturday, Dec. 16, Activities begin at 5 p.m., Movie at 7 p.m.

Enjoy holiday classics under the backdrop of 250,000 twinkling lights in the heart of downtown. Guests can enjoy food trucks, free photos with Santa (Santa is bilingual), and other fun holiday activities. Visitors are encouraged to take advantage of the City’s Downtown Tuesday program, which offers free parking in City-owned lots, garages and meters on Tuesdays from 5 p.m. – 2 a.m.

  • Tuesday, Dec. 19: “Home Alone”

Eat & Play in Travis Park
Friday, Dec. 8, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.
Enjoy a wide variety of food trucks, live entertainment and activities during this mid-day lunch time event in Travis Park.

Friday Night Lights!

Friday, Dec. 8, 15 and 22, 6 p.m. – 9 p.m.

Kick off the weekend with live holiday music by local performers, free photos with Santa (Santa is bilingual), food trucks, and free gift wrapping services!

Saturday Family Days
Saturday, Dec. 16 and 30, 4 p.m. – 8 p.m.
Enjoy free family activities including photos with Santa (Santa is bilingual), face painting, candy cane hunts, arts and crafts, storytelling, food trucks, hot chocolate, letters to Santa, and special surprise performances and guest appearances! 

Winter Wonderland Health Fair
Saturday, Dec. 9, 4 p.m.
– 9 p.m.
The City of San Antonio Metropolitan Health District presents its Winter Wonderland Health Fair at Travis Park with Zumba, health screenings, music, games and food. 

Food Trucks in Travis Park
Enjoy a rotating option of food truck vendors every weekday from 11 a.m. - 2 p.m. (No food trucks the week of December 25).

Fitness in the Park Boot Camp
Every Tuesday in December, 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.

Take your workout outdoors every Tuesday in December for Travis Park’s Fitness in the Park Boot Camp. Classes include a variety of activities geared towards increasing endurance, power, strength, stamina, and speed. Don’t forget your own reusable water bottle! Free and open to the public.

Visitor Parking

There is ample parking near Travis Park. The City of San Antonio has several parking garages, lots and on-street meters near Travis Park, with the nearest one being the St. Mary’s Street Garage on the corner of Travis and St. Mary’s, which is immediately one block west of Travis Park. The St. Mary’s Street Garage offers $5 flat rate parking on non-event evenings and weekends. A full list of City-owned garages, lots and meters can be found at www.sanantonio.gov/CCDO/parking/parkingmap. In addition, there are numerous non-City owned lots and garages in the area where visitors can park for a fee, including the Travis Park Plaza Garage.
